
John McNamara, Lieutenant, Ladder 2 - May 17, 1909
McNamara died in the line of duty attempting to apprehend a hold-up suspect being pursued by police past Station 1, 6th (Portland) Avenue and 3rd Street. The suspect drew a pistol and shot McNamara with fatal results.
