Robert R. Reiners, Firefighter, Ladder 7 - April 1, 1979

Reiners died in action fighting a dwelling fire at 14 Melbourne Street Southeast when he was caught in the basement by a sudden build up of heat and smoke. His exit impeded by debris in the basement and by a failing air supply in his mask, he was unable to escape and succumbed before he could be rescued. Reiners was filling in on Engine 7's crew.
